Big Boy BBQ

We’ve represented Big Boy BBQ restaurants since 2011. We launched Lance Rosen’s book Temples of BBQ and announced its win of the Best BBQ Cookbook in the World award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. and


The APIA asked PR Matters to conduct its first-ever PR campaign to drive sales of Australian product.  We arranged a Media Day in Griffith, NSW for key food editors and journalists to gain a better understanding of the industry and a campaign that reached a target audience of more than 5 million Australians and forged long-term relationships for the industry with key media. Since then, we’ve conducted several campaigns for the APIA to drive sales of Australian prune product, including developing a social media presence.

Cherryhill Orchards

When Cherryhill launched a national U-Pick service, they asked PR Matters to conduct a publicity campaign. Since then we’ve conducted seasonal campaigns for Cherryhill and achieved regular coverage across national and local media.

Mix My Muesli

Startup Mix My Muesli didn’t have an advertising budget and they launched their unique online designer muesli store with a national PR campaign instead.  PR Matters was able to assist the company achieve national coverage across Australian magazines and metro publications.

Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School

Leading Australian chocolate and patisserie school, Savour School was seeking publicity for the visit to Melbourne of French patisserie chef, Michael Rispe. Our campaign generated press coverage reaching over 3.5 million readers in Victoria, as well as national TV and state radio segments.

Victorian Cherry Association

PR Matters conducted four national campaigns for the Victorian Cherry Association. Each generated TV and radio coverage as well as saturation coverage in food, health and lifestyle publications reaching audiences of over 10 million people.

Dried Fruits Australia

PR Matters managed the Australian Dried Fruits Association’s first-ever program of personalised product delivery to key food media nationally. Press coverage reached an audience of over five million readers. We then developed new educational pages for the ADFA’s website and conducted two further PR programs to extend the use of dried fruits during the year, as well as the Christmas season.

Blackwood Lane

Blackwood Lane, a fine food importer asked PR Matters to launch several products in its range, including Schnitzer Brau gluten free beer. Each of our campaigns has achieved national coverage in food, home, lifestyle and trade media.

Virginia Hill

PR Matters has launched 3 CD cook books for microwave cooking guru Virgina Hill, the latest being her very popular Fit Food for Fellas.
